Bottle - Dark Raisin, some banana and some sweet dark plum. Deep brown with a decent beige head. Dark raisin, every so light sourness and cake notes.

Pours a deep dark brown from a bottle, thick tan head, like nitro foam, extremely small bubbles. However, they dissipate so the aroma is nice and present: a nice mix of light chocolate malts, chocolate proper, and tart fruit, maybe acidic cherry. Flavor is similar, although no chocolate, just rich chocolate malts, tart, nice flavor, no one component taking over. Very well-balanced. As others have mentioned, it hides its booziness well, no burning, drinks more like a 5%. Very good beer.
Strong quad with sour hints all around, maybe too much oak, I might need to try again

750 ml bottle from Tavour. Nose is big vanilla and candi sugar along with a hint of prunes. Lightly hazy dark brown with a medium lightly lacing beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet with a hint of funky tartness and dark friut.

On Tap Black thich blanket of a light tan head. Like whipped cream. Dark roast maltiness but not the charcoal or ashy character. Light chcolate aromas and a quite boozy trailer. Very nice.

750 c&c from the Curtis Park Market in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with a fizzy, transient tan head. Aroma is kandi and plums. Med + body. Flavor is dark malt/treacle and dark fruits, plummy even. Smooth, lightly sour. Wow flavor. Finishes dryish, fruity, earthy, mildy sourish. Wood is discernible. Great ale.

750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out dried dark fruits, woody oak barrels, molasses and burnt candied sugar. Flavour is unnoticeable sour at first, with molasses, burnt sugar, Belgian yeast and dried dark fruits. Light oak presence on the finish, along with burnt sugar. There is some fairly subtle sourness that shows itself as you delve into it more. Deep and decadent. Excellent.

750 ml bottle into chalice, 6/2016 date on the cork. Pours crystal clear very dark brown color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy dark khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lightly tart cherry, berries, raisin, prune, fig, date, currant, red grape, apricot, apple, pepper, oak, caramel, brown sugar, cocoa, toasted dark bread, herbal, light hay/funk/leather, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spice yeast, dark/bready/roast malt, and oak notes; with great strength. Taste of big lightly tart cherry, berries, raisin, prune, fig, date, currant, red grape, apricot, apple, pepper, oak, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, cocoa, toasted biscuit, dark bread, and herbal; with lighter notes of nuttiness, hay, funk, leather, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Moderate yeast spiciness and light fruity tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of cherry, berries, raisin, prune, fig, date, currant, red grape, apricot, apple, pepper, oak, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, cocoa, toasted biscuit, dark bread, herbal, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spice yeast, dark/bready/roast malt, and oak flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from carbonation and yeast spiciness, increasing through the glass. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/bready, fairly crisp/sticky/chalky, and lightly acidic/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden, only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an excellent sour blended Quadrupel style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spice yeast, dark/bready/roast malt, and oak flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to sip on for the big ABV. As expected with the 70/30 blend of Quad and sour; this showcases the Quad style very well, with lighter underlying sour ale notes. A bit more roasty than I expected, but still had really great balance of yeast/malt flavors. A very enjoyable offering.
