Bottle from Saucy Pears. Appearance - hazy golden with a slim head. Nose - funky, yoghurt and light orange. Iron tablets note. Taste - Moroccan salted lemons. Light iron note again and a persistent lemon zest finish. Palate - light bodied with a light creamy but enduring texture which follows through to the finish. Overall - really interesting beer.

500ml bottle from Great Grog. 3.3%. Pours hazy lemon yellow, thin white head. Aromas are lemon, light eggy sulphur. Taste is more Bretty-sour than sour mash-sour. Sherbet. Light body, tangy finish. Expected some salt.

Bottle split at Bruces, thanks to LKS, 28/11/14. Lightly hazed yellow with a moderate off white swirl and edgeing. Nose is straight up puke, cheese balls, hint of citric rind, straw. Taste improves some, citric peel, dirty pineapple, lemon rind, light chunks of sick. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a sicky chew. Meh!

Bottle share at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Leighton. Lightly hazy pale gold beer, bubbly white head. Palate is light and crisp. Light malts - touches of cheese and puke. No real sourness or savoury vibe. Whisper of citrus and floral bitterness. Light finish. A mess and a miss.

Bottle shared in London - sourced from BeerRitz. The nose has a bit of cheese and light cereal, hints of lemon. Light sweet flavor with a bit of wheat, ripe lemon, pale grains, mild vomit, creamy cheese. Light bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Finishes with a bit of mild cheese, oily texture, dry wheat. Definitely some off notes here.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours cloudy gold with a medium white head. The nose is soft, juicy, grapefruit, pomello, limeade, straw, light cheese and dough. The taste is crisp, doughy, minerals, straw, grassy, cheesecake, grapefruit rind and lemon with a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. Where is the tartness?! Weird cheesy vibe about it. A rare miss from W&T.

500ml bottle at 3.3%. Pours hazy pale lemon with a small head. Aroma is very subtle, a little salty lime and melon. Taste has salty sherbet to start. Salty carbonated water to finish.

Bottle from Corks of North Street, Bristol. Pale, hazy gold with a small, but tight, white head. Sharp, spritzy aroma of lemon sherbet with a floral edge. Easy, refreshing, drinking, with more tart lemon fruit, a hint of banana and salt, before a gentle finish. My first Gose and very enjoyable.
