50% barley, 50% wheat slightly dryhopped with Amarillo made with the German Weihenstephan yeast. Pineapple, pear and tangerine in the flavor. The fruit almost makes you forget that this beer is well hopped with flowery and citric hops. More hops in the aftertaste, with notes of banana and fresh cheese.

Backlog November 2009. Unclear orange body under an off-white head. Aroma of ripe fruit, spices and banana. Taste is sweet and fruity with some bitterness. More bitter than a typical weizenbock. Quite nice.

Fra flaske på Cardinaltreff: voldsomt skum, her må det være noe galt. Lukter og smaker infisert men ikke helt udrikkelig som medisinal smaksprøve. Neppe hva legen ville forordnet. Kanskje ung men ikke ufordervet.

Overfoaming. Large, white head. Unclear. Smells infected. Interesting taste, somewhat medicinal, of iodine and such. Similar aftertaste. Probably (hopefully) infected.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö
Hazy blond color; creamy head. I’m told it’s brewed with Citra hops, which doesn’t correspond to truth, according to the above description. The aroma is pungent, citrusy, but also soapy; with weizen yeast as well. The body is lighter than expected, the flavor too; there is a lemony touch and very light wheat flavor, lightly grassy too. Correct bitterness, with a rather dry and lemony final that is actually the most interesting side of this beer. Not impressive, but balanced and refreshing.

0.33l bottle shared with ClubGonzo @ Baran, Bergen. Pours a murky golden yellow body with a big dense 2 finger-sized white head leaving big lacings. We actually had two bottles shared on three people, and I think I perhaps was a bit unfortunate in my selection of glass after the pouring was finished. Turned out that my glass had a completely different color, head, nose, body and taste than the other two glasses. Could blame the pourer whom perhaps only gave me the yeasty-bottoms of the two bottles, or a dirty glass perhaps? Anyhow, this was not all that nice. Nose starts off quite mildly with yeast and mild hops. Then the foam cools down a bit and the nose completely changes character. This time it smells wet cardboard, butter and vegetables. Really uninviting to have a sip, but hey, it can't be that bad. Or can it...? Well, almost. Yes, it tastes cardboard and over-boiled vegetables and distinct goat, but also a lemon-like sourness, cloves and pineapple. Still, this not the best de Molen experience I've had. Think I need to try this once more, this time perhaps alone and a bottle that's not "bedorven".
