This pre-historic beast is packed with a stunning blend of Brazilian and Costa Rican coffee from Broadway Coffee Roasters in Southsea, giving us waves of chocolate and nutty flavours, backed up with a small addition of Madagascan Vanilla and Milk Sugar ... no one tell James Watt

On tap. Pours black with moderate head. Aromas of cocoa powder and roasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional vanilla and a bit of cream. Very good.

Cask by stillage at the Cockpit, Chislehurst on 29th June 2024. Solid sepia brown with pale tan foam and pattern lacing. Spiced roastiness in aroma. Dark chocolate, aniseed and spiciness in-mouth, and a herbal roasty finish. Quite an interesting set of flavours for a stout. Light to medium bodied with a crisp mouthfeel.

Can ordered from the brewery. Aroma is big and fruity coffee berries. Creamy edge. Darkest brown. Slightly opaque. Foamy beige head. Bitter coffee with a tangy berry streak. Countered by brown sugar. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Lovely jubbly.
