A complex malt grist gives an array of malty biscuit flavours. The brewhouse hop additions layer subtle earthy undertones with hints of blackberry

Cask at Leopard, Nantwich. Pours a cloudy dark ruby with minimal cream head and good lacing. Malts to the fore in the aroma, plus hints of plums and cherries. In the mouth it is sweet and malty with a creamy texture. Some traces of raspberries and other berry fruits, leading to a fruity and slightly dry finish. This was OK, but a rerate is really needed as it had clearly seen better days.

Cask pint @ The King's Arms, Church Stretton in the beer garden after a TMBB ride up Hope Bowdler on a beautiful Summer's day. Pours a deep mahogany, slowly clearing Guinness-style with a good off-white collar. Decent amount of flavour for 3.3%, good malty rye-esque character with a twiggy bitterness. Decent.
