Flaske 0,25l på Le Roy d’Espagne i Brussel 6 Mai 11. Dyp brun. Lavt filmskum. Sterk maltaroma med innslag av røstethet. Smaken er tung røstet malt. Uforanderlig. Kjedelig. Trenger en et slikt øl i Belgia?

Bottled@Chriso’s "Donkey Dork Lord" pre-gbbf shindig. Ambery brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is quite malty, mildly leathery, some toasted notes along with burnt sugar and some slight chocolaty notes. Flavour is very similar with also some slight notes of alcohol noteable. Rather pleasantly balanced.

Bottle at Chriso’s. Red-orange brown color. Caramelly rich malt aroma. Flavor is sweet caramel, very fruity, chewy, too sweet. Not too great.

Bottle at Chris O’s pre GBBF shindig. Brown pour with a light beige head. Toffee and caramel aroma. Caramel and brown sugar flavour. Sweet, malty finish.

Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’11. It pours moderate brown with a thin bubbly off-white head and moderate carbonation. The nose is caramel, toffee and brown sugar. The taste is caramel, toffee, currants, brown sugar, molasses, roasted malt and alcohol warmth, with a dry-roasted malt finish. A fairly uninspiring sweet brew.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Pours clear, light brown with an off-white head. Rich malt nose, light toast. Very sweet flavor, caramel malts, brown sugar, light booze. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, plenty of toasty malts, brown sugar and caramel. Is it a crime to enjoy scotch ales?

Bottle. Sweet raisin/brown sugar malt aroma. Dark red-brown color with small head. Molasses and raisin malt flavor. Moderate carbonation and acidity. A bit cloying - sweetness overwhelms the positives of this beer.

Bottle. Clear brown color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roastd, moderate to heavy brown suger. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. (A bit borring sugar sweet beer). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (100907)
