Cask @ Cromwell's Tap House. Pours a clear chestnut amber, beige head. Aroma of nutty malt. Flavour profile brings good amber malt, leafy chestnut shades, rye bread, nicely presented and flavoursome. Good brown ale.

Hand-pulled half-pint in Cromwell's Tap House, Shrewsbury on 8th January 2024. Clean and clear chestnut red/brown, off-white crown. Slight rye like aroma and initial taste, interesting and different, fruity without any grapefruit or lemons!

Clear chestnut brown with a frothy white head and a soft leafy aroma. Light bodied and very mild, hints of nuts, toffee and dark fruits, with a touch of floral bitterness

Cask at Last Post, Derby. Pours a slightly hazy “bitter brown” with minimal off-white head. Not much of aroma, just vague hints of traditional hops. In the mouth it starts off sweet, but traditional hops soon come through turning it slightly bitter. Flavour has malts, caramel and nuts with hints of pepper. Finish is quite bitter. This is a decent old school beer – though I would class more of bitter than a brown ale.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear copper colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt and nuts. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, malty, nutty, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.
