440ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Jan 24. Pours a deep dark colour, large tan head. Roast and curious fruity shades on the nose. Yeast / hop combo seems to deliver curious pineapple and coconut shades which I can't say I've had in a stout before. (Probably have actually). Quite nice, different. Shame SS have left us.

8th January 2024, Shrewsbury Beer Share in Chez Sophie, five guys and loads of beers! Cheers Mike for the 'out of date' 440ml can of this. Black with a tanned head, strange aroma and taste, coconut, chocolate and maltiness all bound together with a yeasty undertone; I tried to enjoy it.

Can. Wilderness online shop. Hazy, dark brown. Thin beige head is lasting and semi lacing. Nose has a nice, bright and fruity yeast character. Definitely some pineapple going on, as per the description. Touch of ice cream Sabro. Taste is a little sweet first off. Gets a fruity bitterness. Light and a little dry on the palate. Foamy carbonation. Short bitter finish. Sets off great, but gets a little thin and dry.

Can from the brewery (Wilderness). Appearance - close to black and opaque. Cream head. Nose - hops dominant over yeast and malt. Big pineapple and coconut. Taste - again, pineapple and coconut all over it. Slight edge of tang, almost salt, with some sweet molasses lurking. Palate - tangy, fruity and mildly creamy. Tangy, fresh finish. Almost medium bodied. Overall - interesting beer.
