Terry isn’t the only lover of all things chocolate orange, as we blend the classic Christmas flavour with our dark and decadent chocolate stout.

Cask at Ship Aground, Stafford. Pours almost black with a sizable frothy cream / straw head and good lacing. As expected the aroma has oranges, malts, and chocolate. Pretty much the same again in the mouth where it is sweet, smooth and creamy. Later on there are hints of peel, caramel and alcoholic strength. Sweetness lasts into the finish. This is decent – but somewhat predictable.

Thuis 50cl blik. Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en redelijk zoet met duidelijk veel chocolade en sinaasappel. Ook wat rode bes meen ik te bespeuren. Heel goed bier.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - mat and opaque black. Beige head. Nose - caramel & chocolate, with a Terry chocolate orange segment. Taste - more Terry's chocolate orange. Add some honeycomb and chocolate again. Palate - medium bodied, creamy and luscious. Overall - lovely stuff.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Black with a light-brown creamy head. With a sticky-sweet texture, its chocolate and orange flavours are stated but not overbearing, although most probably won't be doing a session with this fine seasonal effort. Good winter warmer.

Cask @ Tap and Can. Pours pitch black with fast-receding tan head. Moderately sweet chocolatey aroma. Flavour profile is mostly about the chocolate with a very mild orange presence unfortunately. Gentle bitterness. Decent sweet cask stout.
