One of our favourite beers of yesteryear from our long-departed Originals range was the phenomenal Azacca Mosaic DIPA; those super ripe tropical fruit punch notes batted off the mellow, but ever present bitterness in a wonderful display of harmony. With five additional years of brewing experience since we last brewed that one time wonder, we got a little nostalgic and decided to do as we’ve done with so many of our beers, by bringing all that flavour intensity to a reeled in pale ale, and lavish it with that Augment touch thanks to our bespoke in-house LA3 yeast strain for insane amounts of suspension and mouthfeel. The result is Fake It – a pale ale that is a nod to the past but with its sights set solely on the future.

440 ml can, as Polly's Fake It Pale Ale, from Left Field Beer; England. ABV is 5.1%. Hazy pale straw colour, large white head. Aroma of citrus, hay and pine. Flavour of citrus and pine needles. Okay.

Haze très marqué, voire un peu trop pour moi, col crémeux.
Arôme sur un bouquet fruité noyaux, un peu un effet de 'off', fermentation levure rappelant un côté yaourt, un haze bcp trop dominant. Au milieu je retrouve une fois de plus la même recette d'ajouts de houblons sur le tropical et noyaux.
Palais sur un caractère profond de bouillie de 'haze' et de houblons avec ce relent presque de yaourt - fruits doux noyaux avec note d'agrumes sur la mandarine mais le tout ruiné par un côté haze trop dominant. Fini sec avec qcq résidus herbacés.
In fine, une bière qui reste très très loin de la promesse de livrer un Pale Ale, au lieu cela tombe dans une ridicule soupe de haze. Dommage.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Hazed golden appearance, white head. Mild tropics I suppose.. no particular fruit rising ahead of the pack... nicely balanced.. sessionable.. decent.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Murky golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of juicy mango and orange. Flavour of mango pulp, clementine and pine. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Deliciously juicy and tropical - the aroma as soon as the can was opened was incredible.
