Cask @ Head of Steam, Birmingham with Craig, John and Rich. Clear amber pour with off-white foam atop. Herbal fruity malty nose. Character relies on soft fruity sweet malt with a dry herbal side, good hop bitterness. Tasty bitter, simple stuff.

Cask at the Head of Steam, Birmingham. Poured a clear copper colour with a lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is malt, woody hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, malt, nutty, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at JDW Wibbas Down Inn, Wimbledon (27/03/2023) - JDW Spring Fest 2023 - toasted and sweet malts (not as much roast as would expect from a brown) twiggy herbal hops, light nutty, soft cask carb and medium to light body, malty and bitter hoppy finish.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2023. Deep brown in colour with a slight, off-white, head. A malty brown ale, with brown sugar, rich malt character and a gentle finish. Good.

Cask (gravity) at Standing Order, Derby. Pours bitter brown with small off-white head. There’s treacle and malts in the aroma. In the mouth it is briefly sweet, before quickly becoming bitter with flavours of autumn fruits, traditional hops and treacle. Plus hints of nuts and Werthers old original sweets. Finish is slightly bitter. This is reasonable.

Cask @ Regal Moon, Rochdale. Darker amber coloured with a creamy-frothy head. Flavoursome malty-earthy brew and very easy drinking, in part due to its slip down the neck texture.
