440ml can Sophies Beer Store. Pours pitch black, nice dense beige head. Big strong sweet aroma, bourbon and chocolate suggestions. Had to check if this was barrel aged. Not sure if the peanut butter notes were a happy accident, or if that's what they were going for. It is flavoursome, confidently sweet, hearty with some cinder toffee notes. I sense this is courtesy of an adjunct but the cans giving nothing away. Pretty decent, if a little confusing as to what was intended here.

25/8/2021. Keg at the Briarbank August Beer Festival. Pours thick, black with a creamy beige head. Aroma of peanut brittle, hazelnut, milk chocolate, vanilla, caramel, cocoa, malted chocolate, biscuit. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Full body, creamy texture, very soft carbonation. Sweetness is deceiving. Rich and delicious.
