2024 Bourbon County Brand Macaroon Stout is an imperial stout aged for a full year in bourbon barrels before adding rich cocoa nibs, sweet candied ginger and toasted coconut. This decadent stout is an homage to the flavors of homemade coconut macaroons with a twist of nostalgia.

500ml bottle from my wife. N ar black pour, fizzy beige head forms a thin ring around the glass. Aroma kicks off with coconut, some vanilla and chocolate. Taste is sweet, roasty, chocolate and coconut, hint of vanilla. Strong, too, a nice burn at the back that lasts all the way down. Very sweet.

2024 bottle. Looks like BCS, smells like BCS, at first it even tasted a lot like BCS. The best thing I did was let this sit and warm up for a good 30 minutes. A much deeper flavor profile emerged, mostly sweet, but more in check than the base BCS. Lightly nutty, toasted coconut, and coca. Overall I found this to be one of my favorite variants to date (and better than '24 BCS).
Sweet, Sharp, alcohol, booze, vanilla, toasted cocos, has a nice base tonit..

Here goes my first direct review on Brewver!
Deep opaque brown body with a fizzy, short-lasting head. Inky nose with prune, roast, oak, and macaroon. Dense, sweet, layered body with prominent macaroon in addition to the base dark fruits/fruit leather, honey, roast, oak, and bourbon notes. Nice beer for a change of pace.

On tap at Uno Chicago Grill in Hamilton. Jet black pour. Creamy dark tan cap. Roasted malt aroma hints at chocolate and coconut. Flavor is bittersweet chocolate, coconut, oak and ginger. Creamy mouthfeel. Warming alcohol. Lots of flavor and complexity.
Most balanced BCBS I’ve tasted so far. Delicious!
