Named after the red haired Queen Boudicca, a red ale made with rye. It has fruit, berries and hops on the nose. Tangy fresh hop and crystal rye notes burst onto the palate and linger temptingly in the finish.

500ml bottle bought at Beautiful Beers. Shared with Finn. Crocheted lacing, clear dark coloured body with a ruby shade. Berry skins on the nose, inviting. Mixed taste profile of pale malts and berry-fruit. Rounded berry-fruity ending. Fair enough. (Hotel room, Cambridge 12.11.2021).

Bottle. Ringstead Stores, Ringstead, Norfolk. Pours a fairly lifeless reddy amber. Slim ring of white foam. Nose is pretty subdued here. Light malt character. Some fruit. Taste follows suit. Thin-ish body. Low carbonation. Dry and light bitter finish. Ok at best.
