New England-Style IPAs are all the rage. Fans of Stone repeatedly ask for our take on the style, which can be met with some criticism. Rooted in West-Coast style IPAs for decades, how would we do it? Fear no more. Our brewers took the approach to deliver incredibly hoppy and aromatic flavor while keeping it very balanced, and upping the alcohol unnoticeably - nailing this astounding one-of-a-kind creation.
Overall this unfiltered double IPA is juiced up with massive tropical & citrus notes. The mild bitterness and relatively dry body compliment the style, and the residual maltiness nicely rounds it out. Lingering lime peel and tropical fruit derived from the hops stand out on the finish, begging one to seek out more.
What 3 words pinpoint where this beast was born? The location is printed on the can.
This is our take on a hazy East Coast Double IPA. Juicy and smooth with just the right touch of West Coast bitterness in the finish. The aroma on this beer is insane and reminds us of getting fresh fruit from a farm stand on the side of the road. Now, make that a farm stand on the side of the road in Yakima, WA during hop harvest. The aroma of fresh hops envelops!

Canned 473ml. -from Spicy Days Zagreb. Unclear darker golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, caramel, light herbs and alcohol in the nose. Moderate malty, fruity, caramel, notes of herbs and rather strong alcohol in the finish. No freshness. Canned on March 2019, so it's almost half a year old. Pitty.

Tall can from local supermarket. Clear dark gold with a generous cream colored head. Aroma of bright fresh citrus and tropical fruits with just a whiff of sweet pine. Big malty sweetness that's strongly balanced with strong hop bitterness.

On tap at Craft Room, Opatovina, Zagreb. Hazy amber. Medium to large creamy white head. Aroma is moderately hoppy, mostly ripe fruit, malts, candy. Spicy and prickly toasty malts and earthy hops. Seems it used to be a nice beer while fresh. No bitterness, no alcohol. Moderate body, slightly sticky, light finish. One of those candy DIPA-s with no character.

Tap at Craft Room. Thanks Iznogud! Golden-amber body with a white head. Taste... caramel and citric notes. Smooth taste, caramel up front, citric hoppiness coming behind. Not entirely gone, but gone. Another dead old I(I)PA imported from the US? Damn fucking right. A trope Croatian bars and importers keep on repeating.

Stone's first hazy? Really good stuff. Loaded with classic Mosaic, not super juicy except for the power aroma. Mild bitterness, full punch.
