Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with a gold hue and a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of bread and grain with some earthy grass supporting. Flavor has some grass with a good amount of grain and a bit if bread.

On tap at the Bell Buoy, Baddeck NS. A reddish amber pour with tight white head; sweet malty body; with a pleasantly spicy bitterness; and a long resinous bitter finish. Rather hoppy for a red ale, but very drinkable.

Keg at Mawell’s Plum, Halifax. It pours deep amber-red with a small white head. The nose is soft, sweet, jammy, Victoria sponge, strawberry and fresh summer fruits. The taste is crisp, bitter-sweet, jammy, red berry, candy, toasty cereal, brown bread, metallic lagery notes and caramel with a short, dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Basic red ale.
