Highly sought-after by connoisseurs, Houblon CHOUFFE is a strong beer - 9% alc./vol., with a bitter and fruity taste. To recreate the bitterness of IPAs, we add three types of hops to our brews: Tomahawk, Saaz and Amarillo. Houblon CHOUFFE is the first Belgian IPA. Taste this magnificent beer and you can appreciate its subtle grapefruit note. This beer is also extremely popular as an ingredient in culinary dishes.

It is a perfect IPA, it is a bit sparkling, citrus, good bitterness, malt but hidden by the hop, nice sensation in the mouth, 02.11.16.

Nice crossing between an IPA and a Tripel although the characteristic hops flavour that I love are not present.Malty , fruity with some hops character.

Bottled at Resto. Poured an orangey ambery color. Hops aroma. Lots of fruit and hops in a pretty good marriage of styles.

Bottle. Cloudy, gold color with a large, foamy head. Aroma is citrus and hops. Taste is a great balance. Hop flavor carries the day.

Bottle shared at home. Pours deep golden with thick, long lasting head. Nose is a beautiful mix of Belgian character (yeasty and flowery) and a spicy-peppery bitter hint. In taste it’s rather prominently hoppy bitter with an apparent yeasty touch. Closes with long lasting bitter finish, has medium body and average carbo. Nice brew.

750ml from RagallachMC, thanks!
Poured into my Chouffe tulip.
Wow, now this is an interesting beer!
Cloudy golden color, HUGE, i mean HUGE head, that dissipates quite slowly, and leave behind some wonderful lacing. Aroma is very hoppy, lots of citrus, and a tinge of spice. Flavour is again, quite hoppy with lots of lemon, orange, even a hint of lime. A nice spiciness also. Perfect tripel carbonation. Definitely the best of both worlds, i’m getting a equal amount of IPA and Tripel characteristics. Outstanding beer!
