Highly sought-after by connoisseurs, Houblon CHOUFFE is a strong beer - 9% alc./vol., with a bitter and fruity taste. To recreate the bitterness of IPAs, we add three types of hops to our brews: Tomahawk, Saaz and Amarillo. Houblon CHOUFFE is the first Belgian IPA. Taste this magnificent beer and you can appreciate its subtle grapefruit note. This beer is also extremely popular as an ingredient in culinary dishes.

Old notes from 2016. (the bottle was from 2010) hazy golden with a small white head. Yeast, mild hops, light grass and some fruit and notes of caramel. Well hidden alcohol.

Bottle from a friend, thanks! Huge foamy head. Citrus elderflower nose with sour like notes. Very flowery. Flavor is great, super complex mix with some wild yeast hints (of I'm not wrong), dry enough but with some caramel body. The bitterness is balancing the sugars just right. Lingering hop bitterness, well it's a (cousin of) IPA after all!

Bottle @home. Dorata torbida, schiuma bianca abbondante e persistente. Al naso note di malto, frutta candita, leggero bubblegum, note citriche ed erbacee. In bocca è dolce all'attacco con chiusura amara decisa e persistente. Corpo medio-pieno, carbonazione media. Come sempre una garanzia.
