Panda courtesy of mR_fr0g, cheers Fergus! Black colour, dark brown bubbly rim and aroma of roasty dark malt, chocolate, coffee, wood barrel, vanilla & oaky hints. Taste is roasted, malty, dark chocolate & coffee, with barrel notes, wood, vanilla, bourbon, booze and earthy bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, full bodied, smooth soft carbonation, drying boozy roasty bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle split at the farewell to Monica tasting, Watford, thanks to the Wingmane 20/09/24. Black with a tan head that thins to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, spice, dark malts, molasses, vanilla essence, bourbon. Taste comprises dark chocolate, spice, cacao nibs, vanilla, hint of coffee, bourbon xoak. Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid BA impy.

Bottleshare at Chez Frog. Thanks to Wingman. Near opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, decent fine carbonation. Smooth rich dark chocolate malts, chocolate fudge, creamy dark chocolate. Slightly savoury bourbon soaked rich ripe fruits on the back end. Very nice indeed, didn't quite have the wow factor.

Bottle shared at the Watford tasting . 2024-09-20. Many thanks to Wingman. A thick black brown coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Aroma is robust meaty roast, liquorice, boozy bourbon, salty roast. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, robust black roast, liquorice, char, . Palate is oily, mocerate carbonation, some chocolate cake. Lingering tangy dark chocolate cake, death by chocolate.

Bottle. Pours a deep black with a very minimal head but aromas that start hitting the nose right as the pour starts. Cocoa is very strong at first, then comes some bourbon and wine-like boozy notes and a little vanilla. Flavor is a wonderful mix of sweetness, booziness, chocolate and vanilla, and a tangy dark pit fruit on the tail end. Lovely beer!
