We first met Andrew of Human People at Friends & Family & Beer in 2020, when he was working at San Diego brewery Modern Times. We've kept in touch and when we found out he was opening his own brewery on the Seattle waterfront, we knew we needed to brew a West Coast Pale together. This beer harks back to the type of westies that were so prevalent in many of our formative craft beer years but with all touchstones of contemporary versions of the style. Moderately bitter, super light and pin bright; our hop combo of Citra three-ways, Cascade, and Nelson Subzero Hop Kief gives you all the grapefruit, resin and pine you desire.

440ml can. Clear golden, white head. Aroma of citrus, tangerine, grapefruit, pine. Taste is citrusy, tangerine, grapefruit, pine, tropical hints, moderately bitter. Medium bodied. Solid WC pale though as they say it's a modern take and therefore simply not enough bitterness.

8th September 2024 Panda thanks to Cloin. Pretty much a clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, smooth and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Thinnish malts but a fair creamy sweetness. Hops bring light pine and mild hop spice. Very candy hop fruits flavours here! Don't know why! If I had tasted this blind I would have said HBC630, Mosaic and mebbe Superdelic. Finishes light with a touch of juicy ripe pineapple with a drizzle of lime, coming through strongly. Nice brew, if a tad confusing.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 24/08/24. Clear golden blonde with a white cap that thins to a spiders web swirl. Nose is orange pith, grass, melon, citric tinged straw, light herb, papaya. Taste comprises orange zest, grapefruit, grass, light savoury aspects, papaya, melon, straw, tangerine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with light juicy come grassy hop bitterness. Tidy enough pale but a few notches off Track's top drawer.
