Can from Beerdome. It really is liquid After Eight mint chocolate. Picking up peppermint, cocoa, lots of vanilla, soft fruity notes, toffee. Flavour is moderate to medium bittersweet, above medium body. No sign of the 11%. Hoped this would be more Black IPA, this is frozen dessert all the way.

Can split at Columbus, thanks to Dave, 31/07/19. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is chocolate, mellow roast, peppermint creams, charr, ashen tones. Taste comprises dried red berries, menthol tones, spice, charr, dark malts, light roast, cocoa powder, pine nip. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of booze and a dusty hop scattering. Fun take on a CDA ... wouldn't want to take down a whole load of this one though!

(Can, taster, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 4 Dec 2021) Black colour with brief head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, mint, vanilla and coffee. Malty, fruity, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, mint, vanilla and a mild herbal bitterness in a sweetish finish. Full body, sweet. OK, it's sweet and gimmicky, but hey ... chocolate and mint... Very nice.

440ml can. Pours very dark brown with a large head. Aroma is peppermint tea and blackcurrant hops. Taste has peppermint, milk chocolate and blackcurrant hop throughout. More peppermint tea on the aftertaste.

Can shared in London - cheers! Pours deep brown with a frothy, tan head. Medium sweet with big York peppermint patty character, some baking cocoa, general cool mint. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more fresh mint, cocoa, moderate roast. Novel and fairly tasty.

Dirty medium brown color. Massive dark chocolate and mint with some citrus notes. Semi sweet . It’s tastes like mint chocolate ice cream. No more and no less. Bizarre. But good

20/9/19: Super weird, actually taste like liquid after eight with some alcohol. Minty chocolate. Chocolatey mint. Thick, smooth, rich candy beer. Little bit of alcohol, nowhere near 11%. Bonus for weirdness and pulling it off. Not sure if a whole can would work.
6/12/21: A repeat of this weird thing! And I still enjoy it, even though it's still weird. Creamy, sweet lactose, some roast, chocolate and definitely mint. Tea is there but not too teaish, and the mint isn't too strong. Completely silly but tasty.
