Hand-pulled half-pint in the Blue Boar, Leicester mid-afternoon on 21st January 2025. Light golden body, slight haze, white head. Just a little more malty than hop bitter, semi-sweet with a mild citrus leaning, body feel is fairly thin.

Cask at Bread and Bitter, Nottingham - clear gold, lacy white top. Grassy, cereal, bit of peppery citrus. A little watery, but decent enough.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Light yellow, a little bit hazy with a smallish and slightly loose white head. Gentle yet punchy hops with grapefruit, light floral notes, lemon creme. Sweet taste, more grapefruit and lemon with a biscuits note and a baby noticeable savoury twist toward the finish. Watery body, soft carbonation. Decent stuff, although it is missing that intensity found in the better hoppy pales.

500ml bottle from Craft & Berry. Gluten Free. Golden colour, foamy white head leaving lacing and aroma of fruity, malty, toffee. Taste is sweetish, malt, toffee, some fruity notes, alittle straw and citric hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Cask at 1000 Trades, Hockley, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is malt, juicy citrus fruit. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a light, crisp, fresh, zesty citrus, yeasty, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Combines the best of an APA with an English bitter. Very drinkable.
