Denne barley wine er blevet til virkelighed efter at daværende lokalformand for Danske Ølentusiaster i Århus C, Søren Bruun Rolander, gennem flere år havde plaget humlelænderne om at brygge en barley wine. Grundet Humlelands begrænsede lagringskapacitet i det gamle bryggeri var dette ikke muligt. Men da Søren fejrede sin 40 års fødselsdag hos Hantwerk, fik han den ultimative fødselsdagsgave af Humlelænderne, nemlig hans helt egen barley wine. Så glæd jer til en lækker vinøs øl, som med fordel kan nydes til ost i stedet for portvin eller til en stille tænksom stund. Øllen findes i tre udgaver. Den originale, Black Monster Whisky Edition og Rum Edition.

Bottle@Jens - Dark brown with a small beige head. Sweet toasted malty with lots of dark dried fruit shred, toffee and caramelised sweetness, some brown sugar, lots of spice, medium plus body, spiced malty finish.

Bottle@Jespers - Amber pour with a off white head. Sweet malty with notes of caramel and fudge, some sweet fruity undertones coming in, medium body, touch of spice into the sweet malty and hoppy finish.

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, spices, malt, and alcohol, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 500ml. @ [ Tasting ] - fonefan & Brugmansia House. [ As Humleland Det Var Lige Godt Sørens - Den Originale ]. ABV: 10.8%. Clear medium to dark brown red colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dried fruit, candy, barrel, alcohol, light oxidide. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, dried fruit, candy, caramel, sweet malt, alcohol, barrel, light caramelized malt. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming. [20190910] 7-4-7-3-15

Sample from 50 cl bottle. Slightly hazy amber colour with a thin lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, fruits and grasses. Taste is sweet. Full bodied. Some coconut. Finishes sweet with rich malts and coconut.

Tap @ Hantwerk. SLightly hazy dark amber/brown with small tan head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted, dark fruit, bread, hop and dusty. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, sweet, dark fruit, bread, hop, warming, notes of alcohol and medium bitter.

Draught @ Hantwerk. Pours slightly hazy dark amber with a creamy offwhite head, lacings. Aroma of malt, caramel, toffee, wood, light fruit. Flavor is sweet, light bitter, rich malty, caramel, light bread, dried fruit, light alcohol. Medium to full body, average carbonation, sweet and light bitter finish with light warming alcohol. 050518
