Bottle @ Benzai's Anti-Carnival Valentine's Day Tasting, Feb 26. Oof.. chocolate cakey.. with coconut echoes.. not shouty bourbon-wise.. but what is there complements things nicely.

Bottle shared at Anti-Carnavalstasting 2026. Opaque pitch black color, no head. Aroma is malts, liquorice, sweetish candy notes slightly, bourbon. Also odd a bit, can't describe it properly. Flavor is malts, liquorice, bourbon, some soy sauce, beautifully biter mixed with some sweetness. Quite awesome. Thick texture, full body. Superb.

Dark brown, no head. The aroma is fairly boozy, light fruitiness, maybe tartness. There's some richness in there. But it's turned/turning because that fruitiness has some tart elements. Overall, I want to like it but I know it's not really what it probably was upon release.

500mL bottle, pours black, almost no head. Nose brings out toasted pecans and coconut upfront, with some cocoa, and rounded out by the bourbon barrels. Flavour is surprisingly very sour—what the hell happened here?—with subdued coconut, vanilla, and sour dark fruits. There’s some nice depth here, but this for sure is infected a bit. Good, but obviously messed up a bit.

500mL bottle. Pours a very dark brown with no head. Bourbon, coconut, and cacao on the nose. Flavour has some sort of sour thing going on, tastes like an infection. That dominates most of the flavour profile, but there is some of the adjuncts floating in the background. Depth is good but the infection messes it up a bit.

Frothy off-white fair mostly diminishing head. Black colour. Heavy malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter wonderful flavor. Long great finish. Creamy palate.

Malm� February tasting - opulent sweet malty with lots of chocolate, cocoa nibs, caramel and toffee, vanilla and coconut, full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel, nutty dark sweet malty finish. Lovely.
