Canned 7/12/24, drunk 9/29/24. Clear golden delicious apple. Small, white head, instantly to thin ring. Big, kolschy yeast in the nose is lovely. Rich apple juice, white grape juice mixed with honey and buttered bread. Almost smells a bit like diacetyl, but I don't think it is. In the flavor I don't get anything buttery. Just malty, well-attenuated textures and flavors with paper, bread and biscuit. Apple, grape, pepper and various other yellow fruits linger long alongside more, delicate, honey-like malt. Crisp and drinkable, yet satisfying.
Alaska Bill is back from Alaska!

12 oz can. Flavor is mildly sweet with notes of hay, straw, mild grassy bitterness supported by a very robust backbone of bread. Light bodied with fine, light carbonation. Crisp texture with a clean finish. Very nice!

Draught at Fermenteria: pours clear yellow gold with white head. Aroma is light grain, vague fruitiness. Taste is slightly bitter. Not very sweet. Crispy.

12 ounce cans from The Foodery in Chestnut Hill. Slightly hazed, medium gold color. Large, pillowy white head. Bready malt aroma has rustic notes. Tangy, bready malt flavor . Dry, peppery notes in middle. A bit funky for a Kolsch, but tasty, nonetheless.
