Prodigal is an imperial oatmeal milk stout with a massive fudge and roast malt character. It’s a foundation for some of our favorite stouts, now here to stand on its own adorned with only a handful of cacao nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans to round out the edges.

Can - deep black pour - slick mouthfeel - a lot of fudge and vanilla - cocoa, light smoke, milk chocolate - well-masked alcohol - not as much depth as I’d want from something so strong, but smooth and drinkable.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of milk chocolate, oat, malt and licorice. Taste of milk chocolate, creamy oat, malt, licorice and caramel. Nice.

bomber. Spicy cocoa and coffee nose, very deep and rich. Looks like motor oil. Light tartness on huge coffee and cocoa flavors. Rich and delicious, but no extra sweetness and it finishes nicely dry. Very impressive, delicious stuff.

Bottle in Luppolo Station in Rome, thank you Pierluigi. Black pour with a tan lacing. Nose: some olive (hidden), minerals, wheat and roast. Mouth: velvety, round roast, sweet and mild chilly, a bit sweet.

Bottle shared by Pierluigi @Luppolo Station (thank you my friend!). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma media color cappuccino, mediamente persistente. Al naso note intensissime di cioccolato, vaniglia, caffè, alcol. In bocca è dolce all'attacco, rotonda, calda, avvolgente, con finale amaro caffettoso. Corpo pieno, carbonazione medio-leggera. Eccellente.

Bottle 750ml. @ home. [ As Perennial Prodigal ].Dark black black colour with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, light brown to brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, roasted, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, barrel, licorice, alcohol, light wood. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, coffee, sweet malt, dark malt, dark fruit, roasted, alcohol, barrel, licorice, cocoa, light wood.
