Can at home in Hackney - sourced via trade. Pours black with a dense, cascading beige froth head. Impressive stuff, nice classically styled imperial stout. Medium to strong sweet flavour, but balanced with a lot of ashy roast, bittersweet cocoa, nips of coffee, scorched earth, vanilla bean accents, nips of dark fruits. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine, massaging carbonation and velvety texture. Warming finish, more bittersweet baking cocoa, sturdy ashy roast, drying coffee. Exceptional.

Can 1pt. @ home.[ As Mikkeller NYC Angels in the Stoutfield ].Clear dark brown black colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, caramel, chocolate, coffee, sweet malt, dark malt, cocoa beans, vanilla, alcohol. Flavor is light heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, roasted, chocolate, cocoa beans, vanilla beans, alcohol, wood, warming. 1 pint can from MBC, canned Oct 02 2018. Black body, with a small, creamy, dark beige-brown head. Aroma of soy sauce, dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, moderate coffee, dark fruits, slight alcohol. Tastes quite similar, while creamier, with more chocolate, tobacco. Full, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth, moderate warm, quite dry, wooden, roasty, moderate sweet, with oak, soy sauce, dark chocolate, tobacco, some coffee, some vanilla. Very nice. A bit on the sweet side, while also with a lot of soy sauce. The taste is really lovely, with a creamy character and well hidden alcohol. Not outstanding, but still an enjoyable sipper. Score: 7 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 15

0,473l can at home shared by Saeglopur, big thanks. Canned Oct/02/2018. black color, small coffee colored head. smells of vanilla, earthy, some soy sauce, light sherry, toffee, bitter chocolate. nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of soy sauce, some sweetness, some vanilla, light brown sugar, toffee, sweet spices. finishes medium sweet with notes of vanilla, brown sugar and some soy sauce. nice one, rather on the sweet side though, a bit too heavy on the soy notes and the vanilla for my liking. overall quite good one though.
