26/8/2021. Cask at the 2021 East Anglian Beer Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of sweet coconut, milk chocolate, sweet malts, brown sugar, white rum, slight ashy notes. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, smooth slick texture, soft carbonation. Warming coconut rum notes to finish. Very nicely done.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2017, day one - London. Pours clear brown with a light, foamy off-white cap. The nose holds light chocolate, toasted coconut. Light to medium sweet flavour with some oily coconut, earth, chocolate. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with OK balance, more oily coconut, cocoa, soft roast. Nice one on the whole.

Cask at New Milton Beer Festival. Aroma of coconut, chocolate (and less positively) sour milk. Dark with a red tint. Creamy beige head just clings to the glass. Sweet with a slightly sour edge from the rum. Reminds me of a Bounty bar. Only slightly off. Surprisingly light, creamy but thin. Flat carbonation. Long finish. It's nice enough other than this kinda curdled element which detracts from the overall experience. Although I've never been keen on rum.

Cask at GBBF 2017. It pours hazy reddish – brown with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, toasted coconut, milk chocolate, bounty bar, something artificial and sticky. The taste is smooth, bitter – sweet, sticky, sugary, milk chocolate, bounty bar, toasted brown sugars, earth, wood and a touch of spice. Medium body, soft carbonation and sticky mouth – feel. A bit sweet perhaps, but it is novel anyhow.
