Cask @ Drunken Duck, Barngates. Clear copper with a head and a robust hoppy maltiness, although perhaps just a little more of the former - certainly in its nose. It's slightly floral in design.

Cask at the Ambrose Hotel, Barrow-in-Furness. Deep gold, almost copper. A bit hazy. Malty, metallic, citrus and herby aroma. Taste is bitter-sour, more metal, a bit of cooked vegetable. Fairly wrong from start to finish. Didn’t help that it was served far too cold and not quite in the best condition. But this is not a good product. No cellarmanship could make this work.

[Cask at the Cumberland Hotel, Alston] Malty, some dusty, earthy hops come through in finish. A reasonable session bitter, if a little dull.
