Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2017, day one - London. Pours clear brown with a light, tan head. The nose holds dried berries, light roast, chocolate. Lightly sweet with some drying ash, baking cocoa, mellow earthy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Finishes with more dry ash and cocoa. Nice one.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2017, [ Great British Beer Festival 2017 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX.[ As Hogs Head Old Schnozzler ].Clear dark brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, chocolate, dark malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, dark malt, toasted - roasted, light chocolate, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20170808] 7-3-6-3-13

Cask @ GBBF 2017. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty caramel aroma with hints of coffee. Roasted malty caramel and coffee flavor. Has a roasted malty coffee and caramel finish.

Cask at GBBF �17, day one, 08/08/17. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent tan cap. Nose is biscuit, chocolate, brown bread, light roast malts. Taste comprises earthy roasted tones, dark fruit rinds, cocoa powder, toffee, brown bread. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Decent porter.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Hazy deep brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Sweet dark chocolate malts. Bubblegum esters. Little dark fruits. Dry and slightly bitter roast finish. Tasty enough.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2017. Pours dark maroon brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of nut, chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit and hop. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Finishes nutty and malty.

Cask at the GBBF 2017. Day 1. 08/08/2017. A reddy nut brown coloured pour with a lasting a halo ooff white head. Aroma is earthy nutty malts, twig, dried fruit. Flavour is composed of tangy red berries, nutty malts, earthy little coco. Palate is medium bodied, semi sweet decent cask condition. Not bad.

Cask at GBBF. It pours hazy deep brown with a small off-white head. The aroma is bitter-sweet, earthy roast, umami, liquorice, chocolate, ashy, plum, sticky fruit and hoisin sauce. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, charred wood, ashy, cacao nibs, sticky toffee, leather and toasted nut with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Okay.
