Keg at the brewpub. Pours clear, deep brown with a tense, creamy khaki head. The nose has some coffee, dried cocoa, leathery berries. Medium sweet flaviut with brown bread, more dried and leathery berries, mild earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation, good balance in the finish, some toasted brown bread, touches of coconut, cocoa. Nice work.

Keg at The Source. It pours deep red - brown with a small tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, oily, sugary, cola, tangy, berry, fruit cake and toasty action. The taste is dry, bitter, earth, charred wood, tannin, roasted malt, tar, coffee grounds and light spice with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty OK.

Dan's Stag. Brewhouse. Bristol. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is light and fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dry dark malts, touches of dark chocolate and coffee. Touch of esters before a dry ripe fruity finish. Okay.
