Creamy tan head stayed on a black still body. Malt, roasted & chocolate aroma. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a smooth finish. Roasted, nutty, malt, metallic & chocolate tastes with a hopped up finish. Good one

[33cl stubby bottle from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a fast fading tan head; aroma of oats and caramel; smooth and dry in the mouth with lots of roasted oats and a touch of chocolate and licorice. Very drinkable, but unexciting.

Bottle from Beer 52. Has a nose which is large on porridge, but also features toffee, chocolate and hints of vanilla. Pours pretty much jet black and (if you are careful / slapdash) it is possible to get a temporary dark beige head. In the mouth it’s farily sweet with caramel to start off with. Then comes bitterness with roast malts and some liquorice and hints of plums. Plenty going on so you don’t really notice that it’s a bit watery. A good solid oaty stout – what more could a man ask for on a cold winter’s evening ?

,///330ml bottle from Beer52: BB 28th Nov 2021. Drank at home on 16th Dec 2020. Thin, fast fading tanned head on a black body. Nose and taste both had a caramel/toffee front, light vanilla and liquorice notes as the beer warmed a little in the glass. I bit watery for Oatmeal Stout, but otherwise fine.
