Cask@Dark Beer Fest 2025, The Hope, Carshalton (27/11/2025) - New English brewery ✅ dark toasted sweet malty with some dark toffee, caramel, nice spices and getting some rindy citrus peel, spiced sweet toasted malty close. Good first impression.

(Cask at White Horse, Parson's Green, London, 19 Nov 2023) Hazy reddish brown colour with brief tan head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of prunes, dried fruit, biscuits and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, dried fruit, prunes, hints of wood and a balanced spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite complex and well balanced. Nice one.

Cask at EBF Nov 23. Aroma has dark fruit, dark berry tartness. Malty streak. Opaque dark brown. Foamy off-white head. Sour berries over rich dark fruit and molasses. Caramel. Sourness closes precedings. Medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Lazy soft carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Nice enough, could do with less sourness.
