The Lumberjack - nowofalowa mieszanka czarnego wyspiarskiego Stoutu z amerykańskim chmieleniem. Żyto wykorzystane w zasypie nadaje piwu oleistości, która koresponduje z posmakiem czekolady oraz mocną żywiczną goryczką. Aromat bogaty w nuty kawowe i czekoladowe, uzupełnione o cytrusową słodycz.

No doubt overrated. Getting the early pour from bropub krakow i think hurts. Just line beer. But it’s also just not that good.

Bottle from almost Podhale area but drink in Beskid Silesian (Near Slovakia border). Ciemne niczym noc na szlaku dochodzac do schroniska Przyslop. Ciemna gorzka kawa, piernik polany ciemna czekolada, mnostwo zywicy i goryczy tropiklanej, tresciwe, ciezkawe, mocno nachmielone, bardziej jak Black IPA niz Stout.

26th Feb 2021; random beer tasting evening with the wife and son, no theme, just decided to shift a few bottles and cans. 330ml bottle from Beer52: BB 10th Nov 2021. Black bodied, tanned head. Rye with coffee, chocolate notes arrive too as it warms in the glass.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 15/01/21. Black with a big old lasting khaki cap. Nose is roast malts, toffee, charr, black peppery spice, cacao nibs, light smoke. Taste comprises dried fruits, charr, light medicinal notes, cocoa sprinkle, dates, scorched earth, perhaps some faint dusty background hoppage. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light dryness in the close. Decent enough stout.

15/1/2021. Bottle sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours black with a short lasting frothy beige grey head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, ash, coal, coffee, dark fruits, touch of pine. Light sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness which became just a little harsh. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Edges to black IPA territory, might not cut down any trees, but it's better than OK.

[33cl bottle from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a ring of beige head after a very careful pour as there was a lot of sediment in the bottle; roma of rye and roasted grains; dry and silky smooth in the mouth with some coffee grounds, rye bread and tar; then a sustained burnt cinder finish. Very moreish.

Bottle from Beer 52. Has a strong chocolate aroma that hits the nose almost immediately on opening the bottle. Pours a very dark brown – almost black. Head is minimal and transient, but what there is is a dark beige colour. In the mouth the initial impression is of the rye grains. Chocolate nad hints of coffee come later. Dark fruits start to appear in the finish, and the alcoholic strength is obvious. A bit of a beast of a bear.
