Pours pitch black, oily, with a small beige head that doesn't last long. Aroma's of roasted malts, peat, smoke, a bit iodine. Retronasal there's iodine, roast, mocha, wood, whisky. Flavour is moderate sweet, dark chocolate, roasted, light alcohol, a hint of sour. Above medium bodied. Long finish, roasty, umami, light bitter.

33cl blik van Bierwinkel Alkmaar. Groene appels, chocolade, turf, tikje spiritus, drop, superzacht en romig maar die ff’ing groene appels maken dit ook weer een bier dat zoveel beter had kunnen zijn. De eerste paar BA Belugas waren fantastisch, maar het wordt steeds een tikje minder.

Bottle. Color: Black, thin beige head. Aroma: Roasted malt, peat, marzipan. Taste: Dark roasted malt, marzipan, almond, peat, vanilla. Hints of soy and umami. Bit boozy. Over moderate sweetness and moderate to over moderate bitterness. Full body, soft carbonation. Smooth and dense mouthfeel. Long lasting sweetish marzipan and peaty and roasted finish. Nice.
