Bottle picked up from Mr Hop webshop, Vernray Netherlands and consumed at the Wohnmobile Stellplatz, Zwiesel Saturday 22nd November 2025 listening to Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show on 6Music and cooking Beef Carbonade. We walked from Zwiesel to Regen along the river footpath today, and with short walks in Regen & Zwiesel walked almost 20km in total. Okay onto the beer, it's got a little bit of a kick, both in abv and feels like there is a chilli element here. Pours black but not a big head, what there is, is light beige warming and with a bit of a kick, thickness in the mouth, good.

2024 version with 9.2% ABV. Black beer, small head. Aroma is roast, chocolate, malt, liquorice. Taste is liquorice, roast, coffee, malt, hint of very dark chocolate, light sweetness, very dry roasty aftertaste. Very nice.

Bottle from Beerdome. Aroma is roasted malt with liquorice, soy sauce, dark chocolate, coffee, hint of ash. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate bitterness. Body is above medium. Bit heavy on the liquorice for my taste, but otherwise fine rudimentary Imp.

Bottle. Color: Black, brown head. Aroma: Dark roasted malt, earthy, licorice. Taste: Smooth, silky, dark roasted malt, licorice notes, coffee / mocha hints, earthy. Hints of soy sauce and blueberry and light hints of smoke. Over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness going to over moderate or even medium at the finish. Full body, below average carbonation. Long lasting roasted and earthy finish. Great no-nonsense Imperial Stout.
