Wheat Wine Barrel Aged in een ST. Emilion Grand cru. Een hele mond vol om het uit te spreken, maar ook fantastisch om te drinken. Door de hoeveelheid Tarwe in de Wheat Wine heeft zij een vol mondgevoel.
Wij hebben gekozen om 2 soorten tarwe te gebruiken. De eerste is een Bohemian floor-malted wheat en donker gebrande tarwe. Koolzuurgehalte medium aanwezig.
Deze Wheat Wine heeft gerijpt in een prachtig vat waar Rode Wijn (Merlot) St. Emelion grand cru in heeft gezeten. De rode fruit tonen complimenteren het Wheat Wine bier. De tannines die vrij komen door de rijping van het houten vat geven iets kruidig aan het geheel.

Väga vaadine, nisune, alkone, nats hapukas, puidune, karamelline, puuviljane, nisune. Ok, vaat käib muust värgist ikka way liiga üle.

Hazy reddish amber beer, short lived bubbly tan head. Palate is smooth and mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Overall, could have a more sumptuous mouthfeel. Smooth caramel malts, some creamy sweetness underneath but no real depth or complexity. This then is barleywine that only serves the barrel but it does it well enough. Rich winey ripe fruits go well with some barrell induced vanilla. A little spice on the smooth finish. Tidy if unspectacular.

Bottle. Color: Murky orangish brown, little particles floating around in the glass. No head. Aroma: Malty, caramel, red wine. Taste: Malty, quite smooth wheat malt, caramel, notes of dark fruit, vinuous, red wine, oak wood. Boozy. Over medium body, very low carbonation. Over moderate sweet, light bitterness. Would benefit from some more carbonation, in my opinion. Ok.
