Classic, old-school IPA for IPA lovers. loads of pine and citrus with plenty of bitterness to balance. Deep golden with a retro feel but a modern upgrade. Hopped with Citra, Centennial, Simcoe. Never gets old.

Bright gold, medium head. Hop aroma is vaguely piney, somewhat grassy, and there’s a fair bit of bready pale malt. Moderate bitterness, some orange rind, woody bark sort of accent. Not bad, hop could be brighter, but malts are good.

From Good Times Oakland, canned July 1st 2025.

Pours a clear gold with about a finger of foam, excellent retention and lacing.

Smell is citrus, pine, hint of dankness, orange peel.

The taste is pine, dankness, grapefruit citrus, very hoppy and bitter. Malt is not noticeable at this point.

Fullish body, I would drink this again.

16oz can from Tavour. Clear golden pour, small white frothy head. Light hoppy aroma on top of some nice caramel malts. Taste follows, mild bittering hops up front, mellow sweet malts underneath. Super smooth, super tasty. Some bitterness lingers.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Bright, brassy gold pour is topped by a large pillowy white head. What a gorgeous looking beer! Piney hops on the nose. Flavor is bittersweet citrus and pine. Firm malty notes balance this nicely. A stellar example of the West Coast IPA style. Peppery hop finish.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear bright gold with a large white head. Aroma has a lot of citrus - maybe even orange. Med body or so. It's dry and bitter. Mostly citrus, but a light touch of piney dank. Very good taste.

16 oz can poured, from Special Brews. Clean golden orange appearance, thin head. Another solid classic west coast from these guys, big bold piney hop front woth a barely rich sturdy yet balanced caramel malt backbone. Lots of moderately aggressive classic PNW hops. Drinks like a double. Overall a really well done brew here.

On tap at Heater Allen, pours a clear bright golden with a medium white head. Aroma reveals plenty of resinous hops, orange peel, and dry toasted caramel. Flavour is classic west coast: with lots of resinous hops, piney notes, some grapefruit rind, orange peel, and a healthy caramel malt backbone. Rounded and balanced despite being maltier than the average WCIPA. Excellent.
