Brewed with Pilsner malt and a touch of oats. Whirlpooled with grains of paradise and white peppercorn. Fermented with an expressive Belgian yeast and then conditioned in one of our foeders. Spice, prickly pear, champagne grapes.

Poured from an undated can into a chalice glass
Pours a transparent gold with a about a quarter finger of white head that settles rather quickly leaving a thin cover. A little sticky lace resides.
Aroma is light peppery spice, banana and citrus. Light malt aroma as well
Taste is banana and light citrus, moves into a bit of semi sweet grainy malt and hints at peppery spice with some alcohol notes coming in the end.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a lighter carbonation than expected. Fairly smooth, definitely a sipper. On the sweet side without being cloying
Overall it's rather simple, which can be good but I was hoping for a bit more complexion. It also has a bit lower carbonation than expected. I'd try this again if it was dated. I would guess my can is on the older side but I'd expect this beer to hold up well over time. Reading the other reviews I wonder if they rework the recipe on this one? It's enjoyable enough but I'd reach for Allagash Tripel and definitely a true Trappist Tripel first.

Can to chalice.
Appearance: semi-murky golden yellow color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace.
Aroma: white pepper, peppercorn; white grapes, smooth semi-sweet earthy tones; sweet freshly cut grass, candied pomme-like fruits, slight lemony tones, biscuity malts underneath
Flavor: wraps the prior noted aromas to a semi-spicy yet a sweet sort of blend; finishes somewhat peppery and with the white grapes
Texture: medium bodied - hmmm, might be a touch under; leaning to be a sipper; comes across somewhat spritzy, guessing the carb was a bit too high in this
Overall: to me I don't entirely see this as a true Belgian tripel but some sort of Belgian strong golden ale that might be a better fit for this but the brewer says this is a tripel and well, it's not a bad beer I'm just saying don't look at this at face value. I'd still come back to this preferably for me.

Soft spices and sweet but dry malty esters. Fancy bread and winter bonfires.

Aroma is woody, banana bread, light funk. Taste is lightly sweet and savory with woody, clove, and peppery notes. Has a hint of bitterness on the back end. Alcohol noticeable but not overbearing. Good stuff.

Nice malty base. Very full bodied. Not really Belgian in style but pleasant.

Amber with a foamy head of modest duration. Aroma of apricot and mixed grains. Yeasty, dank undertones with a touch of caramel. Taste is bitter, finishing with a moderate spice. Slight warmth at the end, but the alcohol stays fairly well hidden. Medium to full bodied, good chewiness. A workmanlike Tripel that never develops beyond the first impression. Not bad though.

This is the most recent Drowned Lands beer I’ve got from Half Time. The pint can is open and I tilt inside of my Great Heights tulip glass. I see strong carbonation inside of a clear bright yellow-gold body and a quickly diminishing ice white head of foam. The scent is peaches, yeast and grain, all okay but not inspiring. The drink goes light peaches and apricots, malt, a hint of spices, green apples and grain. Decently sweet if that is what you like. A nice enough tripel.

Aromas are Belgian yeast, spice, malt, bananas. Flavors are similar to nose. Spice comes out more. Bittersweet. Soft carbonation. Single fermentation. Good but not great.
