Keg at Brewdog bristol. Aroma is tart red cranberry, sweet unrefined sugars, raisin, little raisin, nutty and tangy berry. Flavour is composed of nutty, cakey malts, boozy dried fruits, sweet unrefined sugars. Palate is pretty sweet verging on cloying, moderate carbonation. Lingering unrefined sugars and low Belgian yeast character.

Mother Kellys. Keg. Hazy deep red - amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Rich creamy malts bring toffee - caramel. Ripe fruits in the mid. Pinch of spice. Generic fruits before a somewhat premature finish. The beer just stops hard and becomes hollow, most peculiar. Nicely integrated flavours but a strange finish.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Clean mahogany color with beige compact head. The aroma has strong dusty mellow caramel component, a sign of American yeast strain. Sweet, full bodied, with some alcohol warmth, plenty of mellow caramel flavor, some sweet nuts, ordinary bitterness.
This yeast doesn’t provide any character; and even less, no Belgian character.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown with full head. Aromas of brown sugar, toasted malts and a little copper. Flavors of golden raisins, toasty malts, burnt sugar, a little orange and again some copper notes. Hot. On style though a little light overall.

Tap at Dig. GLowing orange-brown, clear, slightly lacy. Boozy nose--gin? With plums, orange, a bit of metal. Meaty malt flavor, booze, roange, chocolate, booze, caramel, raisin, stewed peaches. Too young, and a bit light, but shows a lot of promise.

On tap at Dig’s Tochigi Beer Week Event. Now this was a luscious beer! Heretic Torment 10% Belgian dark Ale pours a ruby cola pour with a surprisingly herbal nose that gives me oregano & dark malts. The taste is big bready dark malts, some fudge + banana really tasty & smooth. Good stuff.
