Of all the beers in our Proprietor’s Vintage Series, Parabola is the most notorious. It is always a beast of a beer, with intense flavors of black cherry, dark chocolate, vanilla and roast coffee-- yet each annual release also bears its own subtle imprint. We took the extra step of aging the beer entirely in 12-year-old bourbon barrels for this latest edition. These older-stock barrels accentuated Parabola’s signature richness with vintage-specific notes of stone fruit, fudge, and tobacco.

Bottle from my cellar. Inky black pour, small foamy beige head settles out to thin ring. Boozy, warm aroma with notes of chocolate. Taste is sweet with a huge boozy kick, roasty, chocolate. Lingering heat. 4 years have been kind to this beer.

Draught at Gourmet Haus. Massive molasses, booze, whiskey and cocoa aroma. Beautiful! Pours deep black with brown highlights and minimal brown head as a ring. Flavor is boozy, dusted chocolate, vanilla, blackstrap molasses. Such a great beer.

Bottle picked up from Beer Republic Webshop, Breda, Netherlands and consumed at Wohnmobil Stellplatz Bahnhof, Mittenwald Saturday 5th November 2022 listening to Rufus du Sol on Tidal, we have had a great day with Rhys up Karwendel and walking around Mittenwald and then onto Lautersee. Pours black with a slim tan head. Nice aroma, mostly chocolate but roast malts and subtle bourbon wafts. In the mouth this is super indulgent, chocolate, fudge then a little chocolate brownie and with a little boozy edge. Again maybe not as good as some that I've had from these guys but it's still very good.

Vintage No. 14. A black beer, a head is mediuma nd yellowish beige. Aroma has strenght, liquorice and salt liquorice, bourbon, caramel, some dried fruitness and sweetness, prune and raisin, light and dry barrel and vanilla. Taste has strong maltyness, liquorice and salt liquorice, barrel, caramel, light bourbon. Ful bodied, very smooth, not stickyness. Huge beer. Powerful, smooth, drinkable, complex.

Tap at Churchkey. The complexity of the last year's version is no or there of course. Still has really rich bourbon barrel notes, but not quite as awesome a final product as 2021. Monster beer..slowed me down.
