Cask @ Shrewsbury Real Ale Festival 2019, st Marys Church. Pours clear ruby brown, bubbly off white topping. Chocolate ice cream nose, continuing to taste, a little thin bodied but has nice chocolate notes with subtle molasses, subtle vanilla.. not exactly creme brulee in character, but nice enough for what it is.

Black with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of vanilla and caramel. Nice smooth texture. Overall it's a bit too sweet.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours clear reddish brown with a small, bubbly tan head. Fun character, lots of creamy vanilla, caramel sauce, butterscotch. Not overly sweet, soft roasty bitterness. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with soft carbonation. Finishes with more vanilla, butterscotch. Enjoyable.

Cask half-pint in The Station Hotel, Oakengates, Shropshire on 28th Sep 2018. My sweet tooth really enjoyed this. Comes black with a creamy coloured head. It does smell like a crème brûlée and it's not far off flavour wise either. Vanilla and sweet malty molasses all the way, different and for me interesting.

Bottle from the brewery, picked up by Hartoloni. Black body with a thin beige head that fades. No lacing. Aroma of vanilla, caramel and crème brûlée. Flavour of brown sugar and vanilla ice-cream. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Nice flavour but a touch thin.

Cask ale, one-third pint at Port Street Beer House. Coal black in the glass, dissipating fawn-head, dotted spots on the glass. Aroma of vanilla chocolate and liquorice. Similar taste of vanilla chocolate joined by oak and liquorice. Prolonged ending, mid-sweet. Creamy in the mouth. Tasty in smaller amounts. (Manchester 06.05.2018).
