Cask @ Marble Arch, Manchester. Yellow-blond with a small creamy head. Citrus hopped with a heavy character in this respect and a noticeable sourness in its taste. There’s more than a hint of grapefruit in its nose.

Keg at the bottle shop bermondsey. Pale yellow, golden / straw coloured pour with a lasting loose big bubble white head. Aroma is floral lemon, pollen, tea leaves, grains. Flavour is light grains, earthy straw, tea leaves, grainy. Palate is crisp, light body, high carbonation. Very dry in the finish. Lingering straw, light floral lemon and tea leaves. Ok.

On tap at The Bottle Shop London. Clear gold lasting white head. Grassy NZ hop aroma. Some soft malt in the mouth. It’s a perfectly competent golden ale. Hops smell a little boiled. It’s like the aroma in my flat after I have done the boil. Bitter on the finish. Good but not my pale ale. Finish is good though.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell on 14th January 2015. Amber with off-white lacing foam. Rich hoppy aroma with cheesy yeasts. Fine grapefruit and grassiness in-mouth with nutty malt. Rich finish of citric hop, sweet rounded nuttiness and fruitiness. Zingy mouthfeel and fair body. Excellent.

Tap. Tapped, Leeds. Hazy straw colour. Frothy, sticky, white head. Lots of fine, fast rising bubbles. Lemon sherbet hops. Quite grassy. Lemon rind. Some pineapple. Taste is mild zesty, pithy bitter. Distinct yeasty dryness to it. Crisp, crunchy palate. Finishes light bitter, with a dry close. Good sessioner.
