440ml can, 2024 brew. Pours a slightly unclear amber, white head. Aroma of caramel malts, oak, marmalade, vanilla. Taste is sweet and malty, caramel, toffee, vanilla, oak, some tropical and stone fruits from the hops. Medium bodied. Really old school flavour profile it's almost like barleywine with the barrel ageing, unique and interesting.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy amber with a thin off white head. Nose - orange like in marmalade, sweet malty bread. Taste - some woodiness lurking but mainly orange peel and malt loaf. Palate - medium bodied, tangy and initially sweet middle, dry and tangy finish. Overall - I loved this.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours lightly hazy dark blonde amber with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, peach ice tea, apricot, nectarine, pie crust, tart tatin, vanilla, sappy, resinous, toffee and gummy bears. The taste is initially drying, quite bitter, plenty of oak, tannin, leathery notes, spicy, more sweetness than I had expected, stewed fruits, poached pears, apple, apricot, peach ice tea, berry, warming booze, oily, sappy, varnish and resin when a drying, tannic finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Interesting and thought provoking. A bit sweeter in the middle than I had expected. Novel.

Can from Against The Grain. Hazy amber body with an off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of crème caramel, creamy coconut and oak. Flavour of vanilla and caramel. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. An interesting, unique IPA - softer and sweeter than I expected.
