Our eighth Field Recordings release uses a range of Speyside, Highland and Bourbon whiskey oak casks, blending stouts that have aged between 6-18 months.
The Sumatran coffee cuts through the richness and has brought forward a beautiful roasty aroma, laced with red berry and chocolate, that excites you for the layers of flavours to come. An initial hit of whiskey and light bitterness from the roasted coffee smooths into notes of dark chocolate and red currants, highlighted by the blend of barrel-aged stout. A balanced finishes leaves smokey and light peaty tones of the whiskey on the palette.

TCBW2024. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some peated tones with mild chocolaty and roasted tones as well as some wet burnt wooden tones. Flavour is liquorice, chocolate, some vanilla, coffee, roasted tones with mild ashes as well.

Black with a minimal light brown head. A smoke aroma, wooden barrels and chocolate. Sweet with a smoke, chocolate and wooden barrels end.

330ml can at Kura’s Krafts, Kuala Lumpur. Poured almost black in colour with a thin broken tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, molasses, coffee, chocolate. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, slightly oily, chocolate, light coffee, molasses, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet City Nord, Bodø. Pours a low tan head over a near black body with a deep ruby shade, dotted spots on the glass. Attractive smell of chocolate malts with a peaty note. Powerful taste character with oak, and chocolate-coffee. Roasted bitter ending, long lived and warming down the swallow. Full bodied. Enjoying, slow sipper. (Bodø, 23.06.2024).

330ml can. Pitch black pour with a tan head. Aroma of whiskey, coffee, oak, slightly fruity. Taste is very rich, lovely coffee notes which is very roasty and a little fruity, dark chocolate, leather, oak, plenty of the whiskey coming through, very mildly peaty, bittersweet. Medium-full bodied, very smooth, warming booze well integrated. Excellent stout.
