330ml panda from LCB. Pours black with tanned head, modest retention. Aroma of roasted malt, smoke, chocolate, spices. Taste has a nice luscious chocolate, light roast and smoke, warming spices with light chilli. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Enjoyable and very well balanced.

440ml refrigerated can exploded all over my hotel room. Not exactly impressed. Poured almost black in colour with little life after the initial explosion. The aroma is roasted malt, light red berry fruits. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, with a smooth, roasty, herbal, earthy, light chilli spice, light red berry fruit palate. No chocolate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. The best before date on the bottom of the can was illegible, but the beer had been purchased within the last 6 months.

440ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, toast malts, cinnamon. Taste of mildly spicy chocolate, some nice chilli and cinnamon hit, not hot but a pleasant little kick, some roast malts and a little dark fruit, I didn't get any smoke though. Medium bodied. Solid porter.

Can, gift from Tom. Dark brown body with a beige head that. Faint lacing. Aroma of cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Flavour of smoke, cocoa powder and a hint of chilli on the finish. Medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. Spicy, chocolatey and interesting.

Can picked up at the brewery. It pours jet black with a decent tan head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, earthy, bonfire smoke, coffee grounds, mocha, toasted marshmallow, rocky road, touch of chilli spice and charred oak. The taste is slick, slightly toothy, deep roasted malt, charred wood, umami, bitter - sweet, dark chocolate, hot chocolate, bonfire smoke, toasty and warming spice, chipotle and a hint of alcohol with a dry, toasty finale. Medium - fulsome body and average carbonation. Flavourful and really strikes a nice balance. Well done.
