BURNT MILL GREATEST HITS: Well, not exactly... Galaxy Fog has already visited us as a greatest hit, yet we have never done a DIPA version, despite the many requests. We thought that for our December Greatest Hit, we would release Galaxy Fog's big sister! Extra pale, oats & chit make up the hefty grist, whilst the Galaxy hops bring their characteristic peach and passion fruit aromas, which meld with the peachy esters from our house yeast.

Tight foamed off white head stayed on a turbid deep amber coloured body. Earthy, oats & hoppy aroma. Medium to full bodied, soft foamy & sticky on the back. Tangerine, apricot, dank hops & peach tastes with bitter hopped up finish. Class.

Homemade sushi time. Thick, earthy, intense, peach, juicy, this is really good!

Panda (MEGA) at home, thanks to Kenneth, 13/01/24. Murky faded orange with a just off white cap that thins to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is bitter orange, grapefruit, pine needle, light dank chimes, hop spice. Taste comprises orange pith, light mineral bite, grapefruit, pine needle, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close spiked with juicy come dankened hop bitterness. Tidy enough DIPA.

440ml can. Murky orange, off-white head. Aroma of peach, dank, earthy, tropical. Taste is fruity, peaches, tropical, quite dank, earthy, very pithy citrus. A fairly thick and smooth body. Galaxy isn't a fave hop of mine but this is good stuff, would like to see the rest of the Fog series in DIPA form.

Can. Very hazy, borderline cloudy orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy and fairly dry palate, good fine minerally carbonation. Light dry pale malts, a light creamy sweetness. Galaxy, or more accurately, modern Galaxy hops bring light crisp pine and reasonably bright citrus, touch of tropical fruits underneath. A modest hop spice nibble on the end. Decent but never got my juices flowing. A tad dry and even for modern Galaxy, this was a little generic, could have been Citra and probably tastes similar. For those of you who are not old gits like me. 15 years ago, Galaxy tasted like fruit salad, but incredibly bitter with it. Galaxy, these days, is unrecognisable from those days but still a punchy hop in its own right. The trouble with this brew, for me, it doesn't really sing it's modern character. But not picking again, still a drinkalble and hoppy dipa.
