Light to medium sweet flavour with more toasty malts, a little earth, aged fruits. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry finish, lightly roasty. Good stuff.

Cask at Lych Gate, Wolverhampton Pours a reddish brown with a small cream head and good lacing. Plenty of dark fruits in the nose along with some caramel. In the mouth there are dark malts, damsons and toffee. Finish is spicy with chocolate hints. Also alcohol warmth – which is surprising given its relatively low strength.

Bottle courtesy of Mum and Keith (cheers you two) consumed at home Saturday 14th April 2018, whilst cooking Herby Spatchcock Chicken with crisp Chickpeas and Wild Garlic Labneh another meal from the April BBC Good Food Magazine. Pours dark chestnut with a slim off white head. Toffee, mollasses and little else to get excited about. It's ok but I won't be seeking out again. A6 A4 T6 P4 Ov12 3.0

Deep dark color and a bubbly tan head. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a soft carbonation level. Dry bitter ending. A lot of oak in this one. A bit to powerful and did not match the rather thin malt base and low alcohol.
