Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours dark mahogany with a small cream head. Oats to the fore in the aroma, along with cream and roast malts. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy texture. Roasted malts are the mainstay of the flavour, along with some liquorice and hints of chocolate and coffee. Finish is smooth and dry. Reasonable but not wildly exciting.
