What Lies Beneath is a big & bold imperial stout that sat in a mix of Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill barrels for a year. Then we conditioned it on cacao nibs, coffee beans that Thunder Coffee roasted specially for this beer, and a stupid amount of Indonesian vanilla beans.

500 ml bottle. Aroma of vanilla and mild bourbon. Flavor shows all of the adjuncts. Chocolate, vanilla and bourbon are balanced well together. Booze only lightly noticed. Quite good!
